For the past three seasons, Tucker Kirk has brought his unique talents to the LCHS football team. From his leadership ability to a powerfully accurate arm, Kirk tried to lay it all out on the gridiron for his teammates and for the glory of his school during his three seasons with the Indians.

Lumpkin Baseball team begins season 2-1

The LCHS varsity baseball team began its 2020 regular season with a 2-1 record after the Indians bounced back from a season opening loss to the Lakeview Academy Lions and defeated the Union County Panthers and the Coosa Eagles when they stepped onto the diamond last week.

The LCHS varsity wrestling team enjoyed a healthy dose of success when the Indians took to the mats at the Macon Centreplex for the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championship this past weekend, Feb. 13-15.

Lumpkin wrestlers advance to State Tournament

The LCHS varsity wrestling team watched six of seven participating Indian wrestlers and two of four Lady Indians grapple their way to the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championship when the team took part in the Sectional tournament hosted by South Forsyth High School on Friday and Saturday, Feb.

Shortly after press time it was announced that the Lumpkin County High School varsity girls basketball team’s 2019-2020 season was given new life. The Lady Indians received the Class AAA at-large bid following the release of the official GHSA Girls Basketball State Playoff brackets.

Lumpkin County’s Aaron Hopkins signs with Davidson football

After months of offers from a plethora of colleges and universities, LCHS football player Aaron Hopkins made his official decision on where he is going to take his talents after he graduates when he signed with Davidson College at a signing ceremony held at the LCHS auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

The LCHS varsity girls soccer team looked well prepared for the upcoming 2020 regular season when Lumpkin shutout the Lady Gladiators of Clarke Central 6-0 at the Burial Grounds at Cottrell Field on Friday, Jan. 31.
