The LCHS varsity girls basketball team suffered its first two losses of the 2019-2020 season during the Tabo’s Tipoff Classic Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Jefferson High School last week, dropping the Lady Indians’ overall record to 5-2.

While Lumpkin County fans enjoyed the holiday break, the LCHS varsity wrestling team continued to dish out its brand of mayhem on the mats when the Indians participated in the North Hall Trojan Invite, the Gilmer Bobcat Duals and the Archer High School Wrestling Tournament over the holiday break.

The LCHS varsity girls basketball team continued its strong start to the 2019-2020 season when the Lady Indians defeated Chestatee and Banks County last week to remain undefeated at 4-0.

Dowse earns 200th win, Lady Indians start season 2-0

It was a sensational start to the 2019-2020 season for the LCHS varsity girls basketball team as Lady Indians’ head coach David Dowse earned the 200th win of his career and the Lady Indians began the season with a 2-0 record by defeating Chestatee and White County last week.

Lumpkin 8th grade girls 2-1 to start season

The LCMS eighth grade girls basketball team looks to be on track to defend its Mountain League Championship title this season after the team started the 2019-2020 season with a 2-1 record. “These eighth grade ladies have got it going on,” said LCMS assistant girls basketball coach Laura Wilson.
