Lumpkin softball competes in Elite Eight tournament

The LCHS varsity softball team’s tremendous 2019 season came to an end with two straight losses at the GHSA Class AAA State Softball Championship tournament in Columbus last week.

Miners 13U baseball earns runner-up at Titan tournament

The Lumpkin County Miners 13U baseball team earned itself runner-up honors when the team competed in the Titan Baseball Tournament in Commerce, Ga. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The Miners began the tournament with a 10-3 win over the Athens B-52s in the first round of action.

Softball team punches ticket to State Championship

The LCHS varsity softball team received tremendous performances from its pitching staff and clutch hitting from its lineup in order to sweep the Crisp County Lady Cougars in a best-of-three series on the road during the Sweet 16 round of the GHSA State Softball Playoffs last Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Volleyball team competes in State Playoffs

The LCHS varsity volleyball’s 2019 season came to an end when the Lady Indians were defeated in straight sets by Calhoun in the first round of the GHSA State Volleyball Playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Cross country readies for Region Championships

The LCHS cross country team completed its final two meets of the 2019 regular season when they competed in the RMA Fall Runaway and the Pickens Invitational in preparation for the upcoming Region Championships at Unicoi State Park on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The LCHS varsity volleyball team completed a successful 2019 season and punched its ticket to the GHSA Volleyball State Playoffs when the Lady Indians posted a 2-2 record during the Area Championship Tournament hosted at North Hall High School last week.
