The LCHS rifle team concluded its 2019-2020 regular season with a bang last week when they toppled neighboring rival Dawson County at the start of the week and then shot a season high team score to defeat Gainesville High School to finish the week.

The Lumpkin varsity baseball team finally got the opportunity to play at its home field for the first time during the 2020 season and went 2-1 on the diamond last week to secure a .500 record going into Region 7-AAA play.

The LCMS girls soccer team handed out a decisive 10-0 defeat to the Fannin County Lady Rebels when the two teams met at the Burial Grounds at Cottrell Field to battle it out on the pitch on Thursday, Feb. 27.

The middle school boys soccer team improved to 2-0 to start the 2020 soccer season when the Indians delivered a 10-0 loss to the Fannin County Rebels at the Burial Grounds at Cottrell Field on Thursday, Feb. 27.

When LCHS wrestler Nolan Wheeler returned from the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championship he did so as only the second Lumpkin County wrestler to ever win three State Championship titles, securing the senior’s spot as a Lumpkin legend.

The LCHS varsity girls soccer team went 1-1 on the pitch to improve to 2-1-0 overall for the 2020 season and watched senior striker Hope Kenney make history by becoming the program’s all-time goal scorer when Lumpkin faced off with Southeast Whitfield and Buford last week.

After rainy weather delayed the start of the 2020 middle school soccer season, the LCMS girls soccer team got off to a tremendous start to its season when the Lady Indians decisively defeated their neighboring rival Dawson County 7-0 in the team’s season opener on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
