State Champion wrestler Nolan Wheeler signs with Newberry College

When LCHS wrestler Nolan Wheeler returned from the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championship he did so as only the second Lumpkin County wrestler to ever win three State Championship titles, securing the senior’s spot as a Lumpkin legend.

After a season opening win over West Hall, the LCHS varsity tennis team has had to battle the weather and some tough opponents to start the 2020 high school tennis season.

Middle School girls soccer dominates Dawson in season opener

After rainy weather delayed the start of the 2020 middle school soccer season, the LCMS girls soccer team got off to a tremendous start to its season when the Lady Indians decisively defeated their neighboring rival Dawson County 7-0 in the team’s season opener on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Lumpkin Baseball team begins season 2-1

The LCHS varsity baseball team began its 2020 regular season with a 2-1 record after the Indians bounced back from a season opening loss to the Lakeview Academy Lions and defeated the Union County Panthers and the Coosa Eagles when they stepped onto the diamond last week.
