LCHS volleyball picks up three big wins

Lumpkin County High School varsity volleyball played four games and earned three wins against Habersham Central, Cedar Shoals and region opponent, Gilmer. Their only loss last week was to region opponent Wesleyan. On Tuesday, Sept.

Lumpkin football topples Hart County in 30-10 win

The Lumpkin County High School football team took on Hart County in a home game this week and came away with a 30-10 victory. Lumpkin moved to 4-0 on the season following the big game and are now ranked 10th in the AJC AAA State Rankings for the first time since 1967.

Middle School Volleyball wins League Championship

It was a successful season for the Lumpkin Middle School volleyball teams, as the Lady Indians competed in their championship tournament this week and brought home a new championship trophy.

LCHS volleyball team picks up win over Rabun

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, Lumpkin County varsity volleyball battled two opponents, earning a win against Rabun County, but falling to Banks County. In their first match, the Lady Indians defeated Rabun County 2-0. Lumpkin took the first set 25-17 and the second set 25-19.

Lumpkin mountain bike team sees success at beginning of season

Getting their season underway on Sept. 9, the Lumpkin County Mountain Bike team traveled to Millidgeville to compete in the Battle of Bartram race. Head Coach Bennett Norton was very impressed with how the team performed during the event.

LCHS football tops Franklin 47-7 on the road

Continuing their run towards what they hope to be another great season, the Lumpkin County varsity football team hit the road to Franklin County last week. The Indians showed up big, dominating the Lions 47-7.  Head Coach Heath Webb felt the team played a great game against Region 8-AAA Franklin.

The Lumpkin County High School varsity softball team competed in some great games this week as they took on West Hall and Pickens County.  The Indians split the games with a win over West Hall 6-0, and fell just short to a tough Pickens County 3-2.

The Lumpkin County varsity volleyball squad earned a region win against West Hall, but fell to region opponent White County in a tough five-game week.  On Tuesday, Aug. 29, the Lady Indians traveled to White County High School to take on both teams.

Lumpkin football tops Union 44-27 at Homecoming

The Lumpkin County High School football team finally got their season underway against Union County this week, following the cancellation of their season opener against Riverside Military Academy.
