The LCHS Volleyball team celebrated its two seniors in style on Tuesday, defeating Rabun County in three straight sets on Senior Night. The program’s two seniors, Reagan Spivey and Kiersta Trammell, both excelled on Tuesday to help lead the team to the win.

Despite strong play, softball squad has tough week

A couple of home runs and a late-inning rally weren’t enough for the LCHS Softball team to take down Cherokee Bluff, which sits at second in the region standings, on Thursday when the team fell 9-6. “We’ve lost some heartbreakers this year,” head coach Joseph Jones said.

Softball team's strong effort spoiled by North Hall

The Lumpkin County High School softball team dropped a heart-breaking loss on Friday to North Hall to finish out its week with a 1-2 record, as the season gets closer to wrapping up. The Indians were scheduled to face off against North Hall on Monday, but the game was rescheduled to Friday.

Boys cross country earns third place at North Hall Invitational

The LCHS Cross Country teams turned in another strong performance at the North Hall Invitational, with the boys team claiming third place overall while the girls team finished sixth. Coming into the season, head coach Logan Turner said he felt his teams were ready to make a statement in the region.

Lumpkin middle school softball tops White County

After giving up two runs in the top of the first inning, the LCMS softball team took back control of its game against White County in a very big way, plating nine runs in the bottom half of the first on the way to a 18-3 victory in three innings over the Warriors.
