Lumpkin County’s only senior basketball player Jones Harris scored the 1,000th point of his high school career during the team’s senior night celebration against White County last week.

The Lumpkin County High School basketball teams hosted former Lumpkin players for Alumni Night on Tuesday, January 25 between their games against North Hall. A banner was unveiled in honor of the 2020-21 LCHS Girls Basketball team’s GHSA State Tournament Semifinals appearance during Alumni Night.

The LCHS Wrestling team took second place in the area on Saturday and is set to send 13 wrestlers to compete at sectionals on the boys’ side along with the team’s entire lineup of wrestlers on the girls’ side.
