Local track and field athletes have some new motivation to lace up their running shoes next spring, as the Lumpkin County High School track has been successfully resurfaced for the first time since 2007.

Development proposal haunted by traffic woes

The biggest roadblock to a proposed 228-unit townhome development on Pinetree Way could be the surrounding roads themselves. Mainly, Dahlonega City Council members and local citizens are concerned about adding more traffic to an already car-clogged Morrison Moore Parkway.
