The LCHS Girls Tennis team stopped for a photo before defeating Sonoraville High School in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday.

Team Captain Anthony Bauer (right) and the rest of the LCHS Rifle team set their sights on the ultimate prize, a state championship title. The team will be competing at the GHSA Three-Position Air Rifle State Championship on April 24 in Griffin.

The Lumpkin County Middle School Girls soccer team took home the Mountain League Championship on March 29 with a 1-0 win over Dawson County Middle School.
