Girls tennis team wins first round of State

When it comes to playoffs in any sport, the saying becomes “Survive and Advance.” However, as the LCHS Girls tennis team proved on Friday, this doesn’t mean you just have to survive.

Rifle team to compete in State Finals

With its win in the State semifinals over North Cobb High School, the Lumpkin County High School Rifle team punched its ticket to the GHSA Rifle State Finals in Griffin this Saturday.

Despite being locked in an intense 0-0 match up against North Forsyth, the LCHS Girls Soccer team was buzzing with the excitement of a win that only grew as the match progressed.

Lumpkin track teams top Fannin in home meet

The LCHS Track team hosted its first track meet in nearly half a decade on Tuesday, March 30, welcoming Fannin County, with both the LCHS girls and boys track teams taking first place. The Lumpkin dominance began in the field events.

Golf team looks to take on tough competition

With a mix of experienced veterans and enthusiastic beginners, the 2021 Lumpkin County High School golf team has head coach Michael Parker excited about both the present and future of the program. “For us, I’m just excited about where we are as a program,” Parker said. “The numbers are fantastic.

Girls tennis wins Region Championship, boys and girls look ahead to playoffs

When Bella Brock was met by her screaming teammates charging the court, at first she didn’t know what to think. Eventually it dawned on her: she’d just clinched a Region Championship for her team.

A shake up in the schedule gave the Indians a chance to celebrate their Senior Night against their despised rivals of Dawson County, which head coach Don Brock hopes made for a night they would not soon forget.
