TV show to feature local ghost-towns

Half an hour. That's how long associate producer Michael Harris has to sum up more than a century of history surrounding many of the formerly bustling areas around Dahlonega which have now disappeared.

Downtown protests dominate day in Dahlonega

The usual sights and sounds of fall tourist season in downtown Dahlonega were replaced by chants, cheers, barricades and boots on the ground as rally-goers and counter protesters filled opposite ends of the Public Square on Saturday afternoon.

The Dahlonega Gold Museum will be offering programming events for Trailfest on September 6-8. Trailfest celebrates Dahlonega’s role as a designated Appalachian Trail Community.

Restaurant serves up pizza with a purpose

Local diners will soon be able to help themselves to free pizza, and help out Rainbow Children’s Home in the process. When Your Pie Dahlonega holds its Dine and Donate opening Aug. 26-28 it will be a true “from garden to table,” event—in more than one way.
