The Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners (Lumpkin and Dawson Counties) will hold their upcoming program on Monday, July 8, at the Lumpkin County Parks & Rec. at 7 p.m.  As part of their mission. The program called “Food Production” will be presented by Ann Carder.

Christi Spooner is on a mission. She’s taken on the job of overseeing Lumpkin County’s litter program. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to say anti-litter program. The goal, she said, is to “create a program  that will work for the county and the community.

It’s far from set in stone, but the proposed $22.2 million Lumpkin County budget for 2020 will grow slightly over this year’s by $400,000. “We had some real growth in the digest this year, and some inflationary growth,” Finance Director Allison Martin said at last week’s work session.
