The bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches, chips and desserts may all have been consumed, but donations are still coming in for the annual Tomato Sandwich Supper fundraiser. The fundraiser benefits Community Helping Place’s free medical and dental clinics, whose goal this year was $40,000.
The main meadow utilized by the Rainbow Family Gathering last summer is pictured one year later. According to the U.S. Forest Service, no long-term environmental impacts exist in the area.

Helping others has always been Kim Pyron’s cup of tea. But in her new role, it’s her tea that is doing the helping. My Vintage Gypsy Tea’s and Magickal Makings opened on April 1 upstairs at 19 East Main Street and is holding its official grand opening this Saturday.

Tomato sandwich supper contest winners to be announced

They may not like tomatoes (though some may), but judging by results of the Community Helping Place Free Clinics’ first poster contest, the Day Campers at Park & Rec  enjoy using their imaginations, drawing and coloring. About 35 children took part in the contest, ranging in age from 4 to 12.
