Although the Thankful Hearts event has been helping local families for years, the enthusiasm hasn't diminished. Dozens of volunteers gathered last week at Dahlonega Funeral Home to distribute Thanksgiving meals to folks in the area who needed a helping hand in preparing the annual feast.
