David Kraft’s popular horse carriage business has hit a bit of a speed bump this holiday season. And he was at City Hall on Monday to let council members know that, after 30 years of business, he’s not exactly feeling the Christmas spirit when dealing with more stringent city rules this year.

It appears as though ground-breaking is finally near for the long-awaited aquatic recreation center as the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to approve a revised Guaranteed Maximum Price, or GMP, of $12,995,644 at last month’s meeting.
