A newly installed surveillance camera filmed from above as a Mercury Mariner with a stolen license plate rolled by on a Lumpkin County roadway last Wednesday. Down the street, Deputy Nicholas Weathington received an alert from the Flock Safety camera system and headed that way.

Investigators are on the lookout for an unusual getaway vehicle following a suspected identity theft which took place at the Dahlonega Home Depot recently. Last month a large rollback wrecker-truck pulled away from the Highway 400 store with a load full of roofing shingles.
