Softball team begins season by taking on Madison County

From her first moment playing volleyball in middle school, Kiersta Trammell knew it was her sport. From her first day playing in high school, Trammell knew she wanted to one day play in college. “In middle school, I just loved it. Me and Reagan [Spivey] started out together,” Trammell said.

Middle school football learning ‘top-down’ approach

For Zack Stroud, a staple of the LCMS football coaching staff for the last four years and newly named head coach for the 2022 season, the mission is simple. “The number one thing that we want to do down here is, first and foremost, we simply want kids to love football,” Stroud said.

Lumpkin County Wrestling was well represented on the national stage this summer as five local wrestlers qualified and competed in national events.

After setting a program record for qualifying more kids into the state meet than ever before, the Lumpkin County Parks & Rec Swim Team made its mark in the water in Tifton setting even more program records.

First it was shock followed quickly by satisfaction. “I was actually kind of shocked because I didn’t know if I’d get to play at the next level,” Carly Sosebee, LCHS recent graduate and tennis standout, said.
