The official Region 6-AAA Football All-Region honors were released this week and featured 14 individual Lumpkin County High School football players recapping another very successful season for the Indians. The squad’s season concluded 7-4 overall with a regional record of 5-2.

It was a challenging and busy week for all things Lumpkin basketball, as each team competed in several different games. The Boys’ Varsity squad kicked off their week with a tough 72-48 loss to a very good Pickens County basketball program.

The Lumpkin County High School basketball teams hit the road last week to take on powerhouse Greater Atlanta Christian.
Neither of the Lumpkin teams were intimidated by the magnitude of the occasion, as both came away with victories.

It’s not often that you get to represent your local community high school in another state. The Lady Indians Varsity wrestling team took advantage of that great opportunity this week, taking the long seven-hour drive to Mobile, Alabama, to compete in the Gulf Coast Clash.

Girls basketball takes on Tallulah and Calhoun

The Lumpkin County High School varsity girls basketball team had a busy week as they hosted Calhoun on Thursday, November 21 and Tallulah Falls on Saturday, November 23. Calhoun was a powerhouse in AAAAA last season, and ultimately made a Final Four appearance.
