It was a week of resilience and determination for Lumpkin County basketball. The Lady Indians high school basketball team waged a tough battle against a skilled North Hall team, narrowly losing 57-54. Undeterred, the team bounced back with an impressive 64-13 victory over Johnson.

After earning their way into the 6-AAA State Championship Duals, everything came to a head for the Lumpkin County High School wrestling team. Fresh off their second straight Regional Championship, the team battled their way through the State brackets and came away with a third place finish.

Their first set of games on Thursday, January 16, saw the Indians venture to White County to take on the Warriors. The boys squad picked up a 53-45 win over White County, while the girls fell 63-30.
