The Lumpkin County Varsity girls wrestling team saw their return to the mats last week after a three week hiatus due to tournament and team cancelations. This week’s meet was almost undone due to an untimely cancelation by Gilmer.

It was a great week for the Lumpkin County High School basketball team as they picked up two regional victories over Chestatee and North Hall. The squad’s first game of the week pitted them against Chestatee where they were able to come away with an impressive 72-36 win.
