I have a confession to make.
Lately, I’ve been using Page 10A of this newspaper for free promotional purposes.
I know, I know. I get plenty of space in The Nugget each week.
From front page stories to this column to my mug shot in the staff line-up, I’m all over the place.
But that’s not enough.

OPINION: A brave new water world
Matt Aiken
It was a big day in Lumpkin County. A day that may be remembered for years. And on that day, Commissioner Tucker Greene was on hand with some wise advice to impart. “Go with the blue slide!” he said as we stood at the top of the waterslide tower at Pinetree Recreation Center. “It’s faster!

It’s the time of year for local runners and walkers to hit the pavement for many fundraising events.
OUR VIEW: It’s time for some fit fundraising

Video phoning it in
Matt Aiken
Did you know you can video chat on Instagram?
I do.
Oh..I do.
But not on purpose.
And I probably would have never known this was an option if I didn’t decide to send a message to a famous person the other day.
All right Jason Rekulak may not be famous to everyone.

News Staff
I’m going to Orange County!
That’s not something people say when they win the Super Bowl.
But they could, because Disney World sits smack dab in the middle of Orange County, Florida.
