After earning their way into the 6-AAA State Championship Duals, everything came to a head for the Lumpkin County High School wrestling team. Fresh off their second straight Regional Championship, the team battled their way through the State brackets and came away with a third place finish.

Basketball teams battle White Co. and GAC

The Lumpkin County High School basketball teams battled through a busy week of competition last week. Their first set of games on Thursday, January 16, saw the Indians venture to White County to take on the Warriors. The boys squad picked up a 53-45 win over White County, while the girls fell 63-30.

Boys basketball topples North Hall and Chestatee

It was a great week for the Lumpkin County High School basketball team as they picked up two regional victories over Chestatee and North Hall. The squad’s first game of the week pitted them against Chestatee where they were able to come away with an impressive 72-36 win.

The Lumpkin County High School boys’ basketball team picked up a regional victory over Johnson on Friday, January 3, to start off the new year on a high note. The Tribe routed the Knights by a staggering score of 70-31.
