Softball maintains second place in region standings

The LCHS varsity softball team maintained its hold on second place in the Region 7-AAA standings with a 6-2 region record after picking up a conference win over Dawson County before being beaten by first place East Hall last week.

Middle school tennis undefeated going into final week

The LCMS tennis team continued to flex its muscles on the tennis court when they defeated Tallulah Falls and Gilmer County last week to remain undefeated at 7-0 with just three regular season matches remaining in the 2019 season.

The LCHS varsity volleyball team proved they are prepared to hold their own versus even the toughest competition when the Lady Indians defeated Union County before falling to undefeated Habersham Central in a close game last week.

Varsity football earns first win of season

It was a Super Bowl-type atmosphere at the Burial Grounds at Cottrell Field after the LCHS varsity football team earned its first win of the 2019 season by defeating the GIlmer County Bobcats 29-20 this past Friday, Sept. 13.

Volleyball team stays above .500 mark

The LCHS varsity volleyball team’s hot streak cooled off a bit last when the Lady Indians lost three of four games last week, giving the team an overall record of 14-13 with a month remaining before the Area Tournament.

The LCHS varsity volleyball team continued to impress on the court this season when the Lady Indians defeated Flowery Branch and Chestatee at home before being beaten by the Habersham Lady Raiders on the road last week.

The LCHS varsity softball team earned three Region 7-AAA victories versus Cherokee Bluff, North Hall and Fannin County last week to put the Lady Indians in sole possession of second place in the region standings.
