Jeffrey, the escaped Russian tortoise, may not be fast on his feet, but what he lacks in speed he makes up for in pure determination. “He doesn’t walk very fast, but he can roam far if he’s really hoofing it,” said his owner Grace McCracken.

Girls basketball defeats Cross Creek to advance to Final Four

The Lumpkin County High School girls basketball team continued their postseason success yesterday when they traveled to Augusta to take on Cross Creek.
