The Lumpkin County High School baseball team wrapped up a busy Spring Break picking up two region wins over the Johnson Knights, Game One saw the Indians defeat the Knights 15-0 and Game Two concluded with a score of 13-0. Game Three saw a forfeit in favor of The Tribe.

The Lumpkin County High School Track team ventured out to White County last week to compete in the Mount Yonah Invitational. With two more regular season meets remaining in the season, several athletes are hoping to achieve their year end goals and punch their tickets to the State Championship meet.

Boys soccer team looks ahead to State Playoff run

It was a pivotal week for Lumpkin County soccer as the varsity squad battled through two major Region Six AAA matchups. The Indians hosted Dawson County on Tuesday, then traveled to Greater Atlanta Christian on Friday. Lumpkin split the week, earning a 2–1 win over Dawson before falling 5–1 to GAC.

Lumpkin track team races through busy week

One local team has been running, jumping and throwing with the best that the State has to offer in recent weeks. The Lumpkin County Track and Field team competed in two separate meets last week, starting with the Gilmer High Home meet on Tuesday, March 17.
