Teen center wins appeal at Planning meeting

During a contentious public hearing Monday night, Embark Behavioral Health successfully appealed an administrative decision by Planning Director Rebecca Mincey that would have impeded their ability to open an adolescent therapeutic treatment center in Lumpkin County.

Dahlonega alcohol ordinances were the subject of a City Council mini retreat held Friday at the Mike Cottrell School of Business at the University of North Georgia. A number of downtown business owners also showed up to listen and share their perspectives.
