Special to The Nugget ----------- The 7th Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival, May 21 and 22 is a great local event for lovers of art, wine, and jazz. Chestatee Artists, a 501c3 organization, will present this exciting event in historic downtown Dahlonega and adjacent Hancock Park.
It was a true team effort at Yahoola Creek Park last Wednesday as members of several local organizations added numerous plants to the area around the All-Abilities Playground.

What looked like fun and games at Yahoola Creek Park last Wednesday was actually some serious landscaping business…mixed with plenty of fun and games.

As Dahlonega local Buzz Comstock stirred through what was left of his black-eyed peas last Thursday afternoon, he did so with a somber tone. Because for him, and many around town, a chapter of Dahlonega history was about to close forever, as were the doors of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant.

When deputies and drug agents showed up at the residence of Asa Scott Wilson last Wednesday,  they found something they didn’t expect amidst the reported guns and marijuana. Good manners. “He was super cooperative and nice,” said the undercover narcotics officer who helped make the arrest.
