Local veterans are one step closer to being able to choose their hometown as their final resting place, after earth-moving equipment was deployed to the future 11.1-acre site of the County’s Veterans Cemetery for the first time last week.

At first, Officer Austin Brown thought his K-9 partner Kade was in a deep sleep, “I thought he was sleeping hard,” he said. “He’s done it before. His head was resting on his two front paws in sleeping position.”Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
