Varsity boys basketball nearly upsets Cherokee Bluff

The Indians went into the game shorthanded, but fought to the very end, falling 69-65. “We kept fighting,” head coach Jeff Steele said after the game. “I told them before the game, ‘I don’t care if we’re losing by 30 I want to see you battling like the game’s tied or whatever’ and I got it from them. We’re just going to keep being positive and if we keep getting that kind of effort out of them I think things will be good for us.”
