It was another successful season of competition for the Lumpkin County High School Raiders team.
To conclude the season, the squad followed up their victory at the All Services State Championship held two weeks ago at Yahoola Creek Park with an outstanding showing at the Army JROTC State Championships last week.
Lumpkin finished runner-up in the competition at Spalding High School, which is the more traditional Raider competition, including Army JROTC teams.
The LCHS Raiders earned successful results all season, including 3rd place overall at the Etowah High School competition, 1st place overall at the North Forsyth High School competition, 1st place overall at the Grayson High School competition, 1st place overall at the Grovetown High School competition, and 1st place overall at the Dawson County High School competition.
The team’s coach, Maj. Jeffrey Moran was thrilled with the team’s effort this season.
“I couldn’t be prouder of this team of cadets,” Moran said. “These cadets gave it their all every practice and during every event of every competition and their results reflect that effort.”
