Dahlonega's downtown will be the site for the fifth annual First Night Dahlonega celebrations that will take place the night of December 31.
Venues include Dahlonega Baptist Church, Dahlonega United Methodist Church, St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, The Marketplace, Hancock Park, and Dahlonega Square.
Buttons can be purchased at the three churches, at the Visitors Center, and online at lumpkincountyhomeless.org. Buttons are $10 each with the proceeds supporting Jeremiah’s Place, Lumpkin County’s only transitional housing facility for the homeless.
The family-friendly event will begin at 6 p.m. and end with the dropping of the Golden Nugget at Midnight.
Scheduled entertainment includes Kurt Thomas, Pic & Bow, North Georgia Chamber Symphony, The Georgia Musicale Group, The James Ditty Band, Bad Habits Band, and more.
Dahlonega Car Club members will be showcasing over a dozen antique cars on the Public Square and many local restaurants will be open.
