The fifth annual First Night Dahlonega celebrations will be on the night of December 31 in downtown Dahlonega.
Hosted by the North Georgia Interfaith Ministries (Jeremiah’s Place) this town-wide family-friendly event will take place starting at 6:00 pm and conclude with the dropping of the Golden Nugget at Midnight.
Over 16 performers and entertainers covering a wide range of music have been scheduled throughout the evening, including Kurt Thomas, Pic & Bow, North Georgia Chamber Symphony, The Georgia Musicale Group, The James Ditty Band, Bad Habits Band and others.
The Dahlonega Car Club members will be showcasing 16 antique cars on the Square and several restaurants will be open that evening.
The venues for this year’s First Night are: Dahlonega Baptist Church, Dahlonega United Methodist Church, St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, The Marketplace, Hancock Park, and Dahlonega Square.
Buttons can be purchased at the three churches, at the Visitors Center, and on line at lumpkincountyhomeless.org.
They are $10 each with the proceeds supporting Jeremiah’s Place, Lumpkin County’s only transitional housing facility for the homeless.
