County officials wondered if adding a fee for the privilege of recycling would eliminate the possibility of people abusing the system to save a a few dollars that would otherwise be spent on trash service.
The state of recycling in Lumpkin County is once again up for discussion, with the fate of the program likely to be decided at the next Board of Commissioners meeting this upcoming Tuesday, Oct. 19.
