County and City officials give updates on projects
Dahlonega Mayor Sam Norton addressed a packed crowd during the annual State of the City and County on March 19. Norton cited housing and parking as the top challenges facing the City, while also warning of a shrinking tax base. Interim Chairman of the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners Jeff Moran also spoke, giving updates on a number of ongoing road improvement projects.
