Sharon Ravert and Clint Smith are the newest pair of candidates to have joined the crowded race for the 9th Georgia House seat that’s being vacated by Rep. Kevin Tanner.
Tanner recently announced he will run for US Congressman Doug Collins’ seat.
Fellow candidates in the running for the state house seat include William Wade, Zack Tumlin, Steven Leibel and Doug Sherrill.

SHARON RAVERT

The local business woman and lifelong Georgia resident recently  announced her intention to run on the Democratic ballot.
So far Ravert has no Democratic opposition. That could change, however, as qualifying does not end until Friday at noon.
Ravert said  she calls herself “a Constitutional Democrat. I am a fiscal conservative, and I believe government should spend your money with great care, as if it was spending our children’s inheritance,” she said. “My slogan is . . .
