Mrs. Vickie Carol Davis, age 70, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Davis was born in Lumpkin County on March 9, 1949 to the late Eugene Chapman and Dola Carder. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl “Pug” Davis, and her sister Kathy Pruitt. Mrs. Davis was a member of Mt. Gilead Church where she and Pug were married in 1967 and spent 38 wonderful years together. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her grandson affectionately called her “Mema.”
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Emily and David Koleos; grandson Davis Koleos; and three granddogs.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 29, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen Gerrells officiated. Interment followed in Davis Chapel Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Davis Koleos, John Gerrells, Tom Christy, Stevie Davis, Upton Abercrombie and Derrel West.
