Developers who have been sitting on plans to begin work in the Gateway Corridor can now get their shovels ready. Lumpkin County Commissioners voted unanimously last week on new Corridor regulations, which automatically lifts the construction moratorium in that area enacted in June.

48th Brigade to be saluted by County

Lumpkin County Commissioners are hoping the 12 members of the Georgia National Guard 48th Brigade come to the December 17, 6 p.m. meeting of the BOC.
“I think it would be proper to honor those who served from Lumpkin County,” said Commissioner Bobby Mayfield.
