Community Helping Place struck gold with the recent selection of Consolidated Gold Mine as the subject of the Dahlonega Official Christmas Ornament for 2019. The collector’s  ornament sold out in less than a week.

Developers who have been sitting on plans to begin work in the Gateway Corridor can now get their shovels ready. Lumpkin County Commissioners voted unanimously last week on new Corridor regulations, which automatically lifts the construction moratorium in that area enacted in June.

He arrived at the Walmart layaway desk with no warning. He made the donation anonymously. And in true Saint Nick fashion, he disappeared as quickly as he had arrived, leaving the holidays a little brighter in his wake.
