According to the Georgia State Patrol, Donita Hardy, 45, was traveling south in her 2002 Dodge Durango when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway, striking an embankment. The vehicle overturned on the driver’s side.
She was transported by Emory Life Flight to Atlanta Regional Medical Center for treatment.
She was charged with failure to maintain lane and no seat belt.
Police said alcohol-related charges are also possible, pending blood test results.
The accident occurred at 4:20 p.m. last Tuesday and blocked traffic for about an hour.
