Ginny Ann Gibson

Ginny Ann Gibson, 69, of Murrayville, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2013.

The daughter of the late William Earl and Annie Geneva Ellis Abercrombie, Ginny was a homemaker all of her life and a Christian who had an amazing walk with the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lonnie Gibson; brother, Eddie Abercrombie; and sister, Joyce Robinson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Stephanie Gibson, Murrayville; daughter, Kelly Gibson, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Mark Payne, Murrayville, Mandie and Chris Kidd, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bobby Lee, Dahlonega, Georgia and Danny McDonald, Murrayville; grandchildren, Hannah, Chase, Collen, Milea, Carson, and Hayden Kidd, Noah and Bethany Jackson, and Kassidy Payne.

Funeral services for Ginny were held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Bernice Collins and Rev. Brian Johnson officiated.

Interment followed in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Melba Nadine Holland

Melba Nadine Holland, age 82, of Dawsonville, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 following an extended illness.

Nadine was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Mrs. Holland was the daughter of the late Lester and Ruby Smith Grant, and was also preceded in death by her husband, AsBerry Holland; son, Roy Holland; daughter, Barbara Beavers; and sister, Bernice Reeves.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Lamar Holland, Jerry and Debbie Holland, Dawsonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and Jackie Funderburk, Deborah and Bobby Johnston, all of Dahlonega, Brenda and Bill Hampel, Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Faye Grant, Dawsonville; sister, Madge Whelchel, Dawsonville. A total of 17 grandchildren and 21great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Nadine were held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Harmony Baptist Church in Dawson County.

Rev. J.W. Day and Rev. Joey Gilbert officiated.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.
