This class will cover the fundamental processes of blacksmithing including using coal and propane forges, proper use of hammer and anvil, drawing tapers, twisting material, hot-punching holes, forge welding and basic tool making. No prior experience is necessary and the hands-on class will be geared toward beginners and those who have a small amount of forging experience. Students will work in pairs and share a fully equipped forging station. Instructor Caleb Kullman, owner of Kullman Ironworks, LLC, is a nationally known instructor and demonstrator and has been teaching blacksmithing classes and workshops in his studio and nationwide for over ten years.
