Historic Village of Rockford
You are invited to attend this historical dramatization and reenactment of the “Bond School House Shootout” 2013 marks the 150th Anniversary of the “Shootout” that occurred between local Militia & men hiding in the Bond School House on February 12, 1863 near Deep Creek Friends Church in Yadkin County. Join us for an ALL DAY Family event on Saturday and Sunday in the Historic Village of Rockford as reenactors from the 7th North Carolina Cavalry, 28th NC, 38th NC, 21st NC, 12th NC, 6th NC, 63rd NC, and 24th VA take you back in time to the War Between the States. The Historic Village of Rockford will come alive as reenactors will portray life in camp, drill, tactics, and battle. The camps will be open to you and your family to experience first hand interaction with reenactors who portray soldiers from that period. It will be both educational and entertaining!
