Art in the Park returns for its second month Saturday, April 2.
Held in Hancock Park from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., the event features local artists and their original handcrafted creations.
The Dahlonega Arts Alliance (DAA) and Chestatee Artists take turns hosting the gathering each Saturday March through November.
This month Chestatee Artists hosts the event.
“We’re happy to have the area’s best artists and artisans showcase their work here. We draw people locally and from as far away as North Carolina and Tennessee,” said Tom Slavicek, president of Chestatee Artists. “There’s a great variety of arts and crafts in the area. If you love the arts, Art in the Park in Dahlonega is the place to visit.”
Over 20 folk have signed up for a space Saturday to sell everything from jewelry, oil and watercolor paintings, pottery, chain saw art, leather, fabric work and more.
If you are interested in displaying your own work as a vendor, follow the DDA and Chestatee Artists on Facebook for registration details for each month’s event.
