STAFF REPORT
Grayson Cohen was commended for his Arbor Day artistry last week as the Blackburn Elementary School fifth-grader took first place in the Georgia Forestry Commission's Arbor Day poster contest.
“Out of 2,024 [entries] they rated the number one art work right here,” said District Forester Ken Masten. Cohen spent more than a week crafting his intricate, colored-pencil drawing of a tree.
As a result, he beat out students from 40 other schools as he claimed a $100 savings bond and the chance to compete on a national level. Pictured are, from left, Masten, Grayson and Lumpkin County Chief Ranger Kris Butler. See also, Arbor Day Plantings on Page 1B. (Staff photo/MATT AIKEN)

For example, if Mr. Fill-in-the-Blank says something you don't agree with, don't tell the world that Mr. Fill-in-the-Blank is a no good dirty scoundrel who cuts off people in traffic and has owed you $20 since 1997. The Nugget asks you to please just stick to the issues at hand. That way we'll keep the debate lively, without getting personal. And remember, above all else, keep it civil and directed at the topic that's being discussed.
